Babar Azam was back in Pakistan’s T20I team, but in his first match for the Men in Green after more than 10 months, he failed to even open his account. The right-handed batter from Punjab, who is Pakistan’s highest run getter in the 20-over format of the game, faced two balls on Tuesday (October 28), in the first Pakistan-South Africa T20I match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and scored zero runs.

He was caught by Reeza Hendricks inside the 30-yard circle on the third ball of the sixth over of Pakistan’s innings bowled by Corbin Bosch.

Fans had high expectations from Babar in the match where the hosts were asked to chase down the target of 195 runs, but he failed, and as a result of his flop show, Pakistan suffered a defeat by 55 runs.
