RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin on Tuesday outlined a plan to help families impacted by the government shutdown get by once Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program assistance ends on Nov. 1.
SNAP’s end is a result of Democrats and Republicans failure to reach an agreement on the budget.
Youngkin didn’t shy away from blaming Democrats solely for the shutdown.
“The dereliction of duty on the part of our federal Democrat Senators is creating a crisis for the most needy Virginians.
