BATON ROUGE - Governor Jeff Landry is requesting the LSU Board of Supervisors to find a way to add a Charlie Kirk statue on campus after Kirk was shot and killed during a Utah event.

Kirk would be the first person with no ties to the university to get this kind of honor. Some students at the university disagree with the possibility.

"I don't think that's very smart, think it's going to be vandalized. He also never came here, so I don't know what the point of that will be," said LSU student Destiny Connolly.
