WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Koch Industries solidified its plans for expansion last week by putting in an application with the City of Wichita to rezone an area of land near its headquarters along 37th Street between Oliver and Hillside.

Looking at Koch’s application for rezoning, the land they’re interested in includes the northwest corner of East 45th Street North and Oliver. This land is currently zoned commercial, and the rezoning calls for reclassifying the property to light industrial.

The company’s specific plans haven’t been publicly unveiled. The City of Wichita said it can’t offer more information about the rezoning due to Koch’s existence as an outside, independent applicant.

12 News reached out to Koch Industries, but has not received a response as of Tuesday night.
