HARTFORD, Conn. — Expectations will only rise following the UConn men’s basketball team’s wire-to-wire 76-69 exhibition win over Michigan State at PeoplesBank Arena Tuesday evening.

Despite the final score, the game was never in doubt.

The No. 4 Huskies led the No. 22 Spartans the entire way and built their lead up to 19 points in the second half.

UConn’s backups survived a late rally from Michigan State, which played its best players until the final horn.

UConn used a balanced attack to build a comfortable lead early that never relinquished. The Huskies played smart offense and aggressive defense throughout most of the scrimmage.
