After a gorgeous sunshine-filled day on Tuesday, the wet weather has returned.
Showers hit WA’s metropolitan area and South West region early Wednesday morning, with the Perth Metro weather station in Osborne Park reporting 4.2mm of rainfall as of 8.10am.
The Bureau of Meteorology expects 5mm of rainfall to hit the city throughout the day, with showers forecast to hit coastal regions between Geraldton and Albany.
Bureau meteorologist Bob Tarr told PerthNow several cold fronts would push across the State following Tuesday’s warm weather.
“There is a chance of more showers hitting the Perth and South West throughout Wednesday afternoon, but it will be less rain than seen in the morning,” he said.
“Most of the morning rain should have already poured in the Perth metropolitan area.”
