Bishop McDevitt’s girls soccer season came to a sudden end with a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Lancaster Catholic in a District 3 Class 2A semifinal Tuesday night at Lancaster.

After 90-plus minutes of scoreless action, No. 2 Lancaster Catholic’s Harper Bolesky buried the game-winning goal.

Lancaster Catholic (21-1) will go on to play Trinity in the title game 11 a.m. Saturday at Landis Field in Harrisburg.

The Shamrocks defeated Boiling Springs 3-1 in the semifinals.

No. 6 McDevitt’s season ends with a record of 18-2. It is the second straight season that the Crusaders’ season has ended in the D3 semifinals.
