CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Bill Gates has adjusted his stance toward an environmental issue that he’s been long-associated with. The co-founder of Microsoft says resources need to be shifted away from the fight against climate change and focused on hunger and preventing disease. In an essay published Tuesday, Gates says he isn’t reversing his stance on climate change and that planet-friendly actions are still needed. However he says the Trump administration’s major cuts to USAID could result in lasting famine and the spread of life-threatening illnesses.
