BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) -- A Pendleton man was arrested on October 22 after deputies found narcotics inside his car during a traffic stop.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, the stop occurred on I-40 near Candler.

Officials said Jason Andrews Jenkins had "trafficking amounts of illegal narcotics in his possession," including 107.7 grams of fentanyl, 80.6 grams of crack cocaine, $5,367.25, 6.6 grams on marijuana and 263.4 grams of mannitol.

Jenkins was charged with trafficking opium/heroin (fentanyl) by possession, trafficking in opium/heroin (fentanyl) by transportation, trafficking in cocaine by possession, trafficking in cocaine by transportation, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
