CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Two people were injured in a shooting at a Cedar Rapids bar Tuesday night.

At approximately 8:31 p.m. Tuesday, authorities responded to a report of a shooting at Vernon Bar in the 2800 block of Mt Vernon Road SE.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound and another person with a minor head injury. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police detained two people and said there’s no threat to the public.

The shooting remains under investigation. No other information is known at this time.
