MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - Two brothers have been arrested in connection to a shooting that injured a woman outside of a Marion hotel earlier this month.

Marion Police say officers took 37-year-old Phillip Phelps and 39-year-old Stephan Phelps into custody around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Phillip Phelps is charged with willful injury resulting in serious injury and domestic abuse.

Stephan Phelps is charged with accessory after the fact.

Marion Police say officers were called to the Sleep Inn on Dyer Avenue just before 4:30 a.m. on October 19. Officers found a woman who had been shot. That woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

At the time, police said the shooting was a targeted incident.
