MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) - The Manitowoc School Board held a community information meeting Tuesday night to get feedback on which schools should and shouldn’t be considered in its consolidation plans.
At the meeting, the district broke down its main goals: to increase enrollment and make better use of space, staff, and resources for its students.
“Our goal is not simply to make changes. It’s to make the right changes for the right reasons to ensure our students are learning in environments that support their growth and wellbeing and build a district structure that’s strong and sustainable well into the future,” Superintendent Lee Thennes said.
The board is expected to finalize its recommendations over the next three to four weeks.
