SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A Bountiful-based landscaping company filed a lawsuit against former Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes and other officials of the Attorney General's Office, alleging that they abused power when they arrested and charged Rubicon executives with labor trafficking.
On November 21, 2023, Rubicon offices were searched, and three executive employees were arrested on suspicion of first-degree felony aggravated labor trafficking. Charges were later filed against seven members of Rubicon's management team, but in February 2024, all charges were dismissed.
The lawsuit alleges that Reyes and other defendants made false statements and left out facts to falsely obtain search warrants, staged searches of Rubicon's head
