DALLAS — They have watched Bexar Street rise. They refuse to let it fall.
“We finished the first development in 2009, and I lived here since 2011,” said Hasani Burton, a South Dallas resident
“We’re all together. We all know each other. We all look out for each other,” said Greg Moten, another South Dallas resident.
That South Dallas pride holds firm even when safety is shaken because Monday night, Moten and Burton were startled by what they saw and heard. Four people were shot along Bexar Street Monday night, police said. Moten caught one person on camera ducking behind his truck, which was hit by the gunfire.
“I counted at least 21 shell casings in front the unit,” said Moten. He didn’t see the shooting but heard arguing right before at a short-term rental property.
