ASHTABULA — The Ashtabula Friendly Quilters brightened the day for many area veterans Monday, when the veterans received quilts from the women in the club.

A special honorary creation was provided to the of the Marine Corps League Private Henry Kalinowski Detachment in honor of the 250th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps.
