The body of the man who went into the Wanapitei River on Monday has sadly been located.
Greater Sudbury Police said the members of the OPP Search and Recovery Team found the deceased 68-year-old man around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday. He was located underwater, near the rapids where the incident occurred.

“Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends,” police said.
The police service said it is not releasing the name of the deceased.
Police and rescue personnel began searching the Wanapitei River for the man who fell overboard on Monday afternoon.
Greater Sudbury Police said officers got a call around 4:25 p.m. about the boater and were immediately dispatched to Highway 537 and Estaire Road.
