GORDONSVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — After weeks of debate and public input, the Gordonsville Town Council has voted not to move forward with its proposal to annex more than 1,000 acres of land from Orange County.

Earlier this month, residents attended a packed town hall to voice frustration over the proposed boundary expansion, which would have brought several nearby neighborhoods within Gordonsville’s town limits.
