NORFOLK, Va. — Old Dominion football is back on track. The Monarchs snapped a two-game losing streak in impressive fashion last weekend, taking down Appalachian State at home. Now sitting at 5-3 overall and 2-2 in Sun Belt play, ODU turns its focus to a Saturday road matchup at Louisiana Monroe (3-5, 1-3 Sun Belt). Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
A win would do more than just extend their momentum — it would make the Monarchs bowl eligible .
Players and coaches alike credit the team’s preparation throughout the week as the foundation of their success.
“We know when we do have a good week of practice, it translates to the game every week,” said safety Mario Easterly . “That’s what we harp on all the time.”
