Born in Guilford in 1973, actor and comedian Marcus Brigstocke dropped out of a drama degree at the University of Bristol before drifting into acting and stand-up, appearing in Love Actually in 2003.

He’s been a regular on panel shows including Have I Got News for You, QI and Would I Lie to You and also appeared in the West End musical Spamalot . In 2024, he revealed that he’d been treated for porn addiction following an affair which ended his first marriage. He married his second wife, comedian Rachel Parris in 2019. They have one three-year-old son together and he has two adult children from his first marriage.
