KALIHI, Hawaii (Island News) -- Honolulu police shut down three illegal game rooms last week, all located in Kalihi.
The first gambling bust took palce on Monday, Oct. 20, at a two-story house on Puuhale Road. Honolulu Police Department (HPD) officers from the Narcotics Vice Division executed a search warrant in which a stolen firearm was recovered along with 12 gambling machines and over $6,000 in cash.
A game room at a one-story house on Maukahine Street was raided that same day. From this gambling bust, HPD officers found two loaded ghost guns, 26 gambling machines, illicit drugs and over $14,000 in cash. A man was also arrested for a previous warrant.
