It might be a long way from the heights of Group 1 carnival success, but NSW’s leading stable is set to unleash a two-prong attack in what shapes as an influential maiden at Thursday’s Wyong meeting.
The Chris Waller stable, gearing up for another big assault on Randwick this Saturday, produces two promising fillies in a Super Maiden Plate at set weights over 1100m.
And one of them, a new arrival in the yard, is the most intriguing runner across the eight-race program, likely to be run on soft ground, with persistent showers in the lead-up.
Sword Of Legacy, a striking three-year-old daughter of prolific sprint sire Too Darn Hot, hasn’t started since a one-off failure at Sandown in late July as a two-year-old when based in the Dominic Sutton camp.
