Cave explorer and renowned YouTuber Brandon Kowallis was the last person to see trainee medic John Jones alive, after he tragically died after getting trapped upside down in a cave.
John lost his life after being stuck for over 24 hours in Utah's Nutty Putty Cave back in 2009, with one of the rescuers who attempted to save him sharing his final moments. Despite relentless efforts, he has since disclosed the heart-wrenching reason why he couldn't rescue him from what's been described as the 'worst death imaginable'.
At just 26 John was a medical student and an enthusiastic explorer with extensive experience in caving. However, more than 15 years ago, he made a fatal mistake that's been likened to 'crawling into his own grave'.
