Cyclonic rains have caused disruption in train services in the district on Wednesday.

Golconda Express bound for Hyderabad was halted at Dornakal junction as the tracks at the railway station platform were submerged in rainwater.

Krishna Express bound for Tirupati was halted at Mahabubabad as tracks were fully submerged in

rainwater. Similarly several goods trains were halted on the Warangal-Khammam route due to rains.

Holiday was declared for all government and private schools in the district. District Education Officer Dakshina Murthy said that a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions in the district today in the wake of heavy rains across the state.
