HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) - Police are investigating what’s described as a “coordinated” break-in at an Eastern Iowa car dealership.
McGrath dealerships alerted employees of a “coordinated break-in” at its Ford campus on North Center Point Road in Hiawatha over the past weekend, according to an internal email obtained by KCRG-TV9.
The thieves broke in to four buildings and stole 8 vehicles along with Hyundai parts and technician tools. At least five of the vehicles have already been recovered.
“We’ve heightened surveillance monitoring, not only in Hiawatha, but at all our locations,” the internal email told McGrath employees, going on to thank Hiawatha Police for their work so far.
