At least 81,827 voters in New Mexico dropped off ballots as of Oct. 28, three weeks after early voting started on Oct. 7, though the numbers are trending down in Doña Ana County, data from the Secretary of State's Office showed.
There have been 45,560 Democrats who have voted so far, 25,683 Republicans, 9,926 who declined to state a political party affiliation, 398 Libertarians and 260 from other parties. There have been 57,202 votes in person and 24,625 voters who submitted an absentee ballot.
The early voting period in New Mexico ends on Nov. 1 ahead of Election Day on Nov. 4.
