A patient was rushed to hospital following a road traffic collision in East Lothian.

The Scottish Ambulance Service received a call at 6.38am on Wednesday, October 29 to an incident on the B6371.

One ambulance arrived on the scene and transported a patient to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Their condition is not currently known.

A motorist who captured an image from the scene said the road was blocked as late as 7.45am the same morning between Ormiston and Tranent.

The photo appears to shows a police vehicle blocking the road where what seems to be a battered car sits in the lane. The local claimed the crash involved two vehicles.
