The much-anticipated Australia-India series got off to a disappointing start after the first T20I at the Manuka Oval, Canberra, was washed out due to incessant rain. Sent into bat, India raced to 97 for 1 in 9.4 overs before rain stopped play for the second time in the day. While the first stoppage after five overs was a brief one, the second interruption lasted till the match was called off.
