New Delhi: YouTube will start imposing stricter regulations on gambling and violent gaming videos on November 17, 2025. The new policy also focuses on making the platform more responsible when dealing with mature themes and safer for the younger audiences. The transformation will primarily involve the makers of the videos, which include gambling content, casino-based games, or violent players with realistic human figures.

The video-sharing giant claimed that the move is in line with its quest to keep abreast of the digital world and industry standards on mature content. The new strategy of YouTube will also support the emerging ethical issues of digital gambling with in-game items, such as skins and NFTs, and will not show such activity as offered to young people.
