A formal probe has been launched into a horrifying incident on a Metrolink platform in Wythenshawe that left an 11-year-old boy in intensive care.

Travis Ashe was left with life-changing injuries after he was struck by the Metrolink tram at the Crossacres stop on Brownley Road on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 7.

He was rushed into intensive care in hospital by emergency crews on the scene.

In an update posted on a Go Fund Me page for Travis on October 19, his family said he remained there having undergone five surgeries.
