GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College celebrated the season by holding Fall Festivals at its Jackson County and Harrison County campuses.
On the Harrison County campus, families packed the trunk-or-treat area while others enjoyed music and the college’s haunted house. Several food trucks were also on site.
Organizers said the event creates positive memories for children and helps inspire future students.
“I have heard stories and I’ve also seen it in higher education that even just a small little event can impact someone that’s even three years old, and they’ll continue to do that as they grow,” said Reagan Holder, Student Activities Coordinator. “I’ve seen students who look back on their memories, and they are current students with us, and now they’re workin
