New Delhi: Pakistani athletes won’t be stopped from travelling to India to take part in the Commonwealth Games 2030, the government has confirmed. Gujarat’s Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will host the Commonwealth Games in 2030, with India set to be announced as the host nation in the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly on November 26.

Despite the political ties between the two countries at an all-time low following the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year, the Indian government has decided not to boycott Pakistan from multi-lateral sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games. The decision has been taken to ensure India’s candidature for the 2036 Olympics is not affected.
