Gujarat gets over 25% excess rain in 2025 so far October 29, 2025

Ahmedabad: Gujarat has experienced an above-normal monsoon season, recording a total rainfall more than 25% above its long-term average, according to data released on October 29, 2025.

As of 6:00 am on October 29, the cumulative rainfall across the state stood at 1,103.84 mm, which is 125.17% of Gujarat’s seasonal average of 881.84 mm (based on the 1995–2024 average).

Regional Performance Highlights

All five major geographical regions of Gujarat received rainfall exceeding their respective long-term averages:

Kachchh Region: Registered the highest surplus with 149.54% of its average rainfall, totaling 722.60 mm.

South Gujarat Region: Recorded 1,946.63 mm, or 130.67% of its average.

North Gujarat Region: Received 891.8
