Two Ayrshire takeaways are vying for top spot in the 4th Nation’s Curry Awards 2026. ‌

The Curry Leaf, in Ayr’s Wills Road, and Zain’s Curry House, in Dalry’s New Street, have both been named as finalists in the competition’s seven-strong Takeaway of the Year (Scotland) category. ‌

The organisers say that the finalists have “distinguished themselves with their exceptional quality, innovation, and consistency in offering a truly memorable dining experience.” ‌

There are more than 20 categories with scores of takeaways, restaurants, kitchen staff and street food outlets from all over the UK battling it out for awards.

The prestigious event, organised by Oceanic Awards, recognises and celebrates the talents and hard work of individuals and businesses within the UK
