Some areas of Vernal experienced a water disruption on Tuesday but crews were able to restore service that evening.

Vernal City initially shared that crews were aware of the current water outages affecting areas within the city north of 400 North and that the outage was due to a current waterline replacement project. The goal was to have water restored by 8pm.

After working through a few hiccups, Vernal City announced in the evening the completion of the repair but that they were slowly filling the line with water to prevent any pressure surges.

Some citizens reported discolored water which is normal due to the unusual flows stirring up micro sediments in the lines. Vernal City recommended that residents simply flush lines to clear any discolored water.
