The injury to New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was gruesome and demoralizing, but the infectious rookie should be ready for training camp. according a NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport reports that Skattebo suffered a fractured fibula as well as a ruptured deltoid ligament in addition to the dislocation. Despite the severity of the wound, Skattebo reportedly faces a relatively simple recovery process now that it’s been surgically repaired.
The deltoid ligament is part of the ankle joint, helping to connect the foot to the leg, as well as support and stabilize the joint.
