GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Multiple outlets have reported that the Detroit Lions have signed star edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson to a four-year contract extension.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the extension is worth $180 million, with $141 million guaranteed.
The Lions drafted the Michigan native with the second pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and he has done little to disappoint. He has recorded 34.5 sacks in 46 games and was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2023. He was on track for a stellar season last year when he broke his leg against the Cowboys in Week 6.
Hutchinson was able to rehab and return to the field for the start of the 2025 season and hasn’t shown any notable issues. Through seven games this year, the former Michigan Wolverine has six sacks and 13 quarterback hits. He has forced four f
