Former Duke national champion and Oklahoma City Thunder player Kyle Singler was charged with misdemeanor assault in Oklahoma on Tuesday, according to reports.

Singler, 37, was arrested Oct. 23 after his girlfriend told authorities that he grabbed her head, shoved her to the ground and attempted to rape her, News 9 in Oklahoma City reports. He appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and he refused to cooperate with authorities, according to a probable cause affidavit, AP reports.

The incident occurred while the couple was staying at an Airbnb in Whitefield with their child. Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about a man chasing a woman outside of a residence.
