ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. —
An Anderson County, South Carolina, man has been arrested after he admitted to operating an illegal gaming house in his backyard, according to arrest warrants.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Eric Peoples, 55, with operating a gaming house and operating a slot, video, or gambling devices on Monday.
This is a joint investigation with SLED and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest warrants said on Sept. 24, agents conducted a search of Peoples' property and found 10 Pot-O-Gold machines.
Peoples admitted to operating a gambling house, the warrants say.
He was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
