ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) reported that one man was arrested for operating an illegal gambling house.
55-year-old Eric Peoples was charged with operating a gaming house, and operating a slot, video, or gambling devices.
On September 24 SLED, along with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at Peoples' house in Anderson. Officials said they uncovered 10 illegal Pot-O-Gold gambling machines were seized.
Following an interview with Peoples, deputies said he confirmed that he had been operating the gambling house for approximately 1 1/2 years.
The operation of a gambling house is illegal in the state of South Carolina.
Peoples was arrested and transported to the Anderson County Detention Center. The case wil
