MARION COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has arrested two Marion County men in connection with a multi-county operation regarding dogfighting in the Pee Dee Region of the state.

The investigation dates from April 7, 2025, and involves not only SLED but local law enforcement agencies, including the Marion County Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Harold Leonidas Young II, 41, was charged with criminal conspiracy, five counts of animal fighting or baiting, and two counts of ill treatment of animals. Lance Denitri Mack, 48, is charged with criminal conspiracy. Both men have been booked into the Marion County Detention Center.
