(WTAJ) — It was championship night for Bishop McCort Carroll, and junior quarterback Bentley Bainey made sure it ended in dominant fashion.

Bainey’s arm and defense helped the Crushers capture the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference title with a 46–18 win over Bishop Guilfoyle.

Bainey delivered a statement performance, throwing for four touchdowns and even snagging an interception on defense. His all-around effort powered McCort Carroll to one of its biggest wins of the season and earned him this week’s Sportbeat Player of the Week honors.
