Lauren Morrow woke up to a nightmare. Her child screaming for help in her Jena, Louisiana home. Advertisement

Her 9-year-old son, Ashtyn, was asleep when his necklace got entangled with his tablet charger, sparked, and caught fire.

"It was like this loud bang, and then I woke up, and then I started shaking, and I was screaming help, and then I started to stop shaking after a while, and me and my brother ran to the room and we were saying help," said Ashtyn Pitts.

Pitts suffered burns to his neck and hand. His mom and dad took him to the emergency room. They were later transported to a burn unit in Shreveport.
