DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- A woman possibly facing life in prison without parole pleaded guilty in the middle of her trial.
Houston County District Attorney Russ Goodman tells WDHN that Cierra Goodson pleaded down to one count of felony murder and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Goodson was initally facing a capital murder charge in the death of Hardy Gray.
According to investigators, Goodson and five others went to Gray's Pansey home under the guise of performing a sexual favor, when in reality, they were there to rob Gray.
Gray was found three days later with multiple gunshot wounds, fully clothed, and lying facedown in his kitchen.
One of the other suspects in the case, Mykeila Rowser, pleaded guilty in 2023 and was sentenced to 15 years.
