A restaurant owner in Drumheller was charged with one count of sexual assault and sexual interference each by the RCMP earlier this month after an individual alleged they were victimized by the suspect when they were a youth.

Since the original charge, three more alleged victims have come forward to report the man, prompting police to lay three additional counts of sexual assault and sexual interference, along with sexual exploitation, following an investigation.

The accused man, Bernard Germain, 59, owns Bernie and the Boys, a Drumheller restaurant, that according to its Google profile, remains closed. Neither Germain nor anyone at his restaurant could be reached by Postmedia.

Germain has been released from custody and will appear in the Provincial Court of Alberta
