Jeromy Farkas was sworn in as Calgary’s 38th mayor Wednesday evening, along with the 14 members of city council, marking the official start of their term.
“It is an incredibly profound honour to stand here tonight, not just as your mayor, but as a fellow citizen, grateful for the trust that’s been placed in me and in all of us on this council,” Farkas said after being sworn in by Associate Chief Justice D. Blair Nixon of the Court of King’s Bench.
