Black History Month, held each October, is an important time to come together, reflect, and celebrate the rich contributions of our ethnic minority communities. ‌

To mark the occasion, a special event took place at Jerviston Community Centre in Motherwell. ‌

The event, hosted by the newly established Cultural Committee, featured a variety of entertainment, food, activities, and guest speakers. ‌

Local people attended alongside representatives from several organisations, including Bestway Community Development, Waverley Care, Fool On, Diamonds in the Community, Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL), North Lanarkshire Carers Together, and Lanarkshire Carers.

The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
