Authorities in North Carolina have announced that human remains discovered in a wooded area have been positively identified as a man who went missing four months ago.

In an update posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday, Oct. 28, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said that the remains belonged to Ricky Watson, 55, who was last seen on June 20 and then reported missing by relatives the following day.
