A woman has filed a lawsuit against SeaWorld Orlando after a duck came into the path of the roller coaster she was riding and hit her in the face.
The lawsuit states that the incident occurred on March 24, while the woman was riding the Florida park’s Mako coaster.
WESH reports that the woman, a Florida resident, is seeking at least $50,000 in damages, saying the park’s negligence led to the duck hitting her.
The suit claims that SeaWorld Orlando did not offer any warnings about any dangerous conditions that it knew of or should have known.
“[SeaWorld] created a zone of danger for bird strikes due to … placing the roller coaster over or near a body of water, which creates a higher risk of bird strikes involving ducks, gulls, geese and other waterfowl," the complaint says, per WFTV.
