After nearly two decades of delivering movies on the big screen, serving fresh popcorn and soda to movie-lovers in Foxborough, Showcase Cinemas de Lux at Patriot Place is closing the curtain in 2026.

The Patriot Place location opened for business in August 2008 , offering movie-goers “ premium reserved-seating, in-seat dining throughout the show as well as other special amenities ."

However, those days will come to an end in early 2026.

“Due to a business decision, we have entered into a mutual agreement with the landlord to terminate the lease at Patriot Place,” a spokesperson for the chain told Boston 25 News .

“Cinema operations are expected to cease in early 2026.”
