Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Ashish Shelar on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, calling him a “two-mouthed cobra” and accusing him of hypocrisy and political double standards. His comments come two days after Thackeray had likened Union Home Minister Amit Shah to an “anaconda that wants to swallow Mumbai.”
“You are a two-mouthed cobra, Mr Uddhav Thackeray,” Shelar wrote in a post on X. “You call yourself a tiger but behave like a fox. You speak of using a sword, but turn against your own friends. You call others an anaconda but act like a venomous snake.”
